Bio
Sharon M. Reiss is a Principal in the Firm's Professional Liability Defense Practice Group and focuses her practice on the defense of medical negligence cases. She is an experienced trial attorney, having tried more than ninety cases in both state and federal Courts in Pennsylvania. Ms. Reiss has a special interest in catastrophic injury cases, as well as psychiatric malpractice cases. She has lectured extensively throughout the region on topics including psychiatric malpractice, record documentation, tort reform, obstetrical malpractice, informed consent, and case law updates. In 2002, she was an invited Special Presenter at the National Judicial College of the American Bar Association, on the topic of Managing Complex Litigation. She was invited by Judge Sandra Mazer Moss once again to be a Special Presenter at the College in July, 2004 in Reno, NV.
She is a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a Life Member in the National Registry of Who’s Who. Ms. Reiss serves on the Panel of Mediators of HealthCare Resolutions, Inc. In 2004, she was voted one of the Top 50 Female Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in The Philadelphia Magazine. In 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010, she again received this honor in the category of Civil Litigation Defense. She has been listed in the 2007 Edition of Madison's Who's Who in America. Within her community, Ms. Reiss volunteers her time coaching the Chestnut Hill Academy Mock Trial team.
