Bio
Stacy L. Montgomery, Jr., is an Associate in the firm’s Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the defense of medical malpractice matters, advising hospitals, doctors, long-term care facilities, and nursing homes in medical malpractice cases.
Prior to joining Post & Schell, Mr. Montgomery managed an active caseload involving complex medical malpractice and liability matters for a Philadelphia‑based law practice. His work included preparing and arguing motions, developing defense strategies, conducting discovery, collaborating with experts, and advising insurers and corporate clients throughout all stages of litigation.
His prior experience includes defending general liability, premises liability, automobile and trucking matters, construction defects, coverage disputes, and data‑breach claims. Earlier in his career, he also maintained a solo practice focused on risk management, data privacy, and criminal defense.
Mr. Montgomery earned his J.D., cum laude, from Cooley Law School and holds a B.A. in English Liberal Arts, magna cum laude, from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
