Katharine C. Koob is Principal in the firm's Professional Liability Defense Department and Medical Malpractice Litigation Practice Group. She defends clients in professional liability and medical malpractice claims at trial, mediation, and arbitration that involve often catastrophic injuries and large financial exposure. Her clients include hospitals and health systems, doctors, nurses, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. Ms. Koob is an experienced litigator and is certified as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia.  

In 2019 and 2020, Ms. Koob was selected by her peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in the category of Medical Malpractice. In the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America©, she was recognized in the "One to Watch" category for Medical Malpractice.   • Secured a defense verdict in a trial representing a dentist, affirming the arbitration-level decision in favor of the defendant.
