Bio
Ira W. Bushman is a Principal in the firm's Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Group. For over 40 years, he has counseled and defended physicians, nurses, medical professionals, hospitals, and health systems in matters involving alleged malpractice and/or negligence, catastrophic injuries, and significant financial exposure. This includes representing and defending one of the Philadelphia region's premier health systems for over three decades in related matters.
Mr. Bushman has successfully defended clients in jurisdictions throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has had extraordinary success arguing before Pennsylvania's appellate courts. Mr. Bushmen previously served as a Judge Pro Tem and Settlement Master for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas
In 2004 and 2006, Mr. Bushman was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the category of Medical Malpractice. He also holds Martindale Hubbell's highest rating of "AV", for professional excellence in both legal ability and ethics.
