Heather A. Tereshko is a Principal in the firm's Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Defense Practice Group. She aggressively defends her health care clients, including hospitals, physicians and other care providers, in cases of alleged malpractice resulting in catastrophic injuries with significant liability and damage exposure. At the beginning of each case, she is focused on providing risk and exposure analysis and strategic advice on defending high exposure claims. She has represented all of the major health systems and their providers in the Philadelphia region.
Heather's more than two decades as an attorney include first-chair and second-chair jury trial and arbitration experience, in addition to significant mediation and deposition experience. She has successfully defended clients in claims involving delayed diagnosis of cancer, perioperative complications, obstetrical complications, and emergency medicine treatment, among others.
Heather joined Post & Schell initially after completing a clerkship for the Honorable Timothy J. Savage in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While in law school, she completed an externship for former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Russell M. Nigro. She rejoined Post & Schell in 2019 after working for two regional defense firms while she continue to handle medical malpractice defense claims.
