Melissa L. Mazur Joins Post & Schell as a Principal in the Firm's Professional Liability Department
Philadelphia, PA – September 27, 2023 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Melissa L. Mazur has joined the firm as a Principal in its Professional Liability Department and Medical Malpractice Litigation Practice Group in its Allentown, PA office. Ms. Mazur joins Post & Schell from the law firm of O’Brien & Ryan, LLP where she was a Partner in the firm’s Medical Malpractice Practice Group.

She joins a department of aggressive and skilled litigators that defend health systems, physicians, and hospitals, among others, in complex medical litigation.”

Ms. Mazur counsels and defends hospitals, health systems, medical professionals, and other healthcare providers in matters involving alleged medical malpractice and professional liability claims that involve catastrophic injuries and significant financial exposure. She participates in all stages of litigation, from initial client meetings through trial.
Ms. Mazur is active in the legal and her broader community, having served as a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Montgomery County Bar Association and as an arbitrator for Montgomery County. She was the main organizer of an annual charity event to raise money for the Lehigh Valley Senior Services Council, which promotes awareness and provides services to senior citizens. She has volunteered her time for the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Project and the American Cancer Society.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Mazur served as a Law Clerk for the United States Senate on the Judiciary in Washington, D.C., providing legal support during judicial nomination hearings. She holds her J.D. from Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated with a B.A. from Moravian University.
