Texas Court Blocks Enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act
On December 3, 2024, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a preliminary injunction temporarily suspending enforcement of the beneficial ownership information (“BOI”) reporting requirements enacted under the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”) and accompanying regulations pending further determination regarding the constitutionality of the CTA, which became effective on January 1, 2024.
