On September 13, 2018, Principals Steven J. Fox and Cynthia A. Haines, co-chairs of the Firm's Information Privacy & Security Practice Group, presented, "Hot HIPAA Topics: Breaches and Enforcement," at the Maryland Health Care Commission Senior Staff Summit, "Growing Challenges to Securing, Using, and Transmitting PHI."

The​ ​​​​​​presentation provided an overview of "front of mind" issues for the healthcare industry related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws, data breaches, and compliance best practices.
