Robin Nagele Co-Presents on Conducting Peer Review Under PSQIA Protection on AQIPS Webinar on June 26



On June 26, 2019, Robin Locke Nagele co-presented the webinar, "Conducting Peer Review Under PSQIA Protections,” with Peggy Binzer, Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (AQIPS). AQIPS also sponsored the webinar. 

The presenters discussed the statutory and regulatory framework that supports using Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act (PSQIA) protection for professional peer review and addressed the impact of emerging case law on those protections. In addition, the webinar provided real-world examples of how peer review is being protected successfully under the PSQIA and offered practical “dos and don’ts” for providers seeking to use PSQIA protection for professional peer review.
