Post & Schell Elects Five New Principals from the Firm's Professional Liability, Labor and Employment, Commercial Litigation, White Collar, and Insurance Law Practices

Philadelphia, PA – June 1, 2017 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that five of the Firm’s Associates have been elected as Principals:

  • Joseph V. Conroy, IV is now a Principal in the Firm’s Professional Liability and Medical Malpractice Practice Groups in its Philadelphia office.
  • Kate A. Kleba is now a Principal in the Firm’s Employment & Employee Relations and Labor Practice Groups in its Philadelphia office.
  • Jason L. Reimer is now a Principal in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation, Construction, Government Contracts & Surety Law, and Professional Licensure Practice Groups in its Harrisburg office.
  • Abraham J. Rein is now a Principal in the Firm’s Internal Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice Group in its Philadelphia office.
  • Bryan M. Shay is now a Principal in the Firm’s Insurance Law Practice Group in its Philadelphia office.

Joe Conroy

Mr. Conroy focuses his practice on the defense of complex medical and legal malpractice claims.  He represents health care systems, academic/teaching medical centers, hospitals, acute rehabilitation facilities, physicians, nurses, and other health care and legal professionals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  As a litigator, he has trial, mediation, and arbitration experience involving catastrophic and high damage exposure lawsuits and claims, as well as multifaceted fact patterns.

 

Ms. Kleba represents employers in labor and employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings at the federal, state, and local levels. She also counsels employers on compliance with various federal and state laws governing the employment relationship, including all major state and federal employment statutes. She has handled a variety of labor and employment matters, including claims for wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and misappropriation of trade secrets, among others.

 

Mr. Reimer’s practice focuses on the variety of legal challenges faced by businesses, including litigation, corporate/transactional, and regulatory matters.  His practice includes: counseling and representing individuals and businesses contending with business related litigation issues; counseling and representing clients in Pennsylvania state licensure issues; transactional counsel regarding real estate acquisitions and zoning, contract and lease review, partnership, and shareholder agreements, and general corporate and business law issues; and counseling and representing  contractor and sub-contractor clients in complex commercial and residential construction projects.

Mr. Rein, who Co-Chairs the firm’s Information Privacy & Security Group, focuses on the intersection of technology and the law, advising clients on legal aspects of data security, social media compliance, electronic discovery, the application of constitutional rights in a digital era, and related topics. He represents individuals and businesses facing government scrutiny and oversees internal investigations, ranging in scope from securities regulation and insider trading to tax, immigration, False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other complex regulatory matters. Mr. Rein, who has briefed matters before the U.S. Supreme Court and argued in the Court of Appeals for Third Circuit, is an adjunct professor of privacy law at Drexel University’s  Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

Mr. Shay’s practice focuses on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, and he advises and represents national clients in a variety of complex coverage and bad faith disputes arising from both commercial and personal insurance policies, including: CGL coverage claims; property insurance claims; commercial and personal automobile claims; policyholder fraud; policy rescission; health, life, and disability insurance claims; annuity and structured settlement disputes; class action litigation; indemnity disputes between insurers; and bad faith claims, among others.
