Robin Locke Nagele, Andrea M. Kirshenbaum, Cynthia A. Haines, and Elizabeth M. Hein presented in a mix of live and on-demand sessions at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's (PBI) Health Law Institute 2021. 

  • On March 16, 2021 at 9:00 am ET, Ms. Nagele co-presented, "The Health Year in Review," which examined key trends and developments in health law from the past year, including the impact of COVID-19 on providers.
  • In an on-demand session, Ms. Haines and Ms. Hein presented, "Interoperability and Information-Blocking: Compliance Tips for Healthcare Providers." The session examined both the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT's (ONC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) final rules on May 1, 2020 that implemented the interoperability and information blocking requirements of the 21st Century Cures Act and best practices for providers.
  • In an on-demand session, Ms. Kirshenbaum presented, "Navigating Vaccinations and Religious Exemptions under Title VII in the COVID-19 Era." The session examined the legal considerations for employers and employees as providers consider mandating COVID-19 vaccinations.
