In his June 2014 column for The Legal Intelligencer, Employment Principal Sidney R. Steinberg examines a case that underscores the importance of when a sexual harrassment complaint is made. 

Mr. Steinberg notes that the case "illustrates the importance of an employer following its harassment policy to preserve the Faragher-Ellerth affirmative defense and, from the employee’s perspective, emphasizes the importance of promptly notifying the employer when allegedly harassing behavior occurs."
