Andrea Kirshenbaum Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Committee of Seventy
Philadelphia, PA - July 12, 2022 - Post & Schell is pleased to announce that Andrea M. Kirshenbaum, Principal, and Chair of the firm's Employment & Labor Practice Group, has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Committee of Seventy. She will serve a 3-year, indefinitely renewable term.
The Committee of Seventy is a nonpartisan civic leadership organization that advances representative, ethical, and effective government in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania through citizen engagement and public policy advocacy.
Post & Schell has a long history of supporting the Committee of Seventy and its mission through its attorneys' involvement. Ms. Kirshenbaum continues that commitment and as a collaborative member of the Board will help advance the organization's vision of better government citizens can trust.

Ms. Kirshenbaum leads Post & Schell's Employment & Labor Practice Group as Chair and is also a Principal in the firm's Appellate Department. She defends employers nationally in federal and state court litigation involving all major employment statutes, represents them in related government investigations, and counsels them proactively on compliance with these statutes. She has broad industry experience, with clients in the construction, commercial real estate, energy and utilities, financial services, health care, hospitality and retail, information technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and professional services industries, among others.
In addition to serving with the Committee of Seventy, Ms. Kirshenbaum also is a member of the Board of ASCEND Group Inc. (The Asperger and Autism Alliance for Greater Philadelphia), OROT, and the Duke Philadelphia Regional Board. She also serves on the Program Committee of the Forum of Executive Women, the Civil Rules Advisory Committee for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Duke Parents Advisory Council. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Women in the Profession Committee, the Forum of Executive Women, Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PR&LA), American Health Law Association (AHLA), American Bar Association, and Philadelphia Bar Association.
Ms. Kirshenbaum is the Wage and Hour columnist for The Legal Intelligencer, covering the shifting regulatory and litigation environment surrounding wages and pay practices. From 2014 - 2022 she was recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. The Best Lawyers in America© recognized Ms. Kirshenbaum in its 2020, 2021, and 2022 editions in the category of Employment Law - Management.
