Andrea Kirshenbaum Appointed Chair of Post & Schell's Employment and Labor Practice Group
Philadelphia, PA – March 15, 2021 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Andrea M. Kirshenbaum has been appointed as Chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor Practice Group and related subgroups, including Employment & Employee Relations, Employment and Collective Class Actions, Labor, Wage and Hour, and Trade Secret & Non-Compete Law.

Ms. Kirshenbaum defends employers nationally in federal and state court litigation involving all major employment statutes, represents them in related government investigations, and counsels them proactively on compliance with these statutes. She focuses a significant portion of her practice on wage and hour-related compliance and litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state laws governing wages and pay practices. She also defends clients in complex class action litigation involving a variety of federal and state statutes as well as claims under the common law.
She has broad industry experience, with clients in the construction, commercial real estate, energy and utilities, financial services, health care, hospitality and retail, information technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and professional services industries, among others.
Ms. Kirshenbaum is a highly sought-after resource for the media on employment and labor issues and the related impact on employers. She serves as the Wage and Hour columnist for The Legal Intelligencer, covering the shifting regulatory and litigation environment surrounding wages and pay practices.
An active member of her community, she is a member of The Forum of Executive Women and its Program Committee, a member of Women Owned Law and its Philadelphia Steering Committee, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Asperger and Autism Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, the Duke Philadelphia Regional Board, and OROT. Ms. Kirshenbaum also is an active member of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA), the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s (PBA) Women in the Profession Committee, and the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA). She also serves as a member of Post & Schell’s Diversity and Inclusion and Parental Support Committees.
