Kenneth M. Ventresca works with the firm in an Of Counsel capacity in its Tax Controversy Practice Group, focusing his practice on federal, state and local taxation, trusts and estates, and estate planning. With more than three decades of experience, Mr. Ventresca advises closely held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals on tax planning and wealth preservation strategies. His practice includes tax planning and compliance, tax controversy and audit defense, representation before the United States Tax Court, and the structuring of complex business transactions to achieve favorable tax outcomes.
Prior to becoming affiliated with the firm, Mr. Ventresca founded and is managing partner of Ventresca & Ventresca LLP, where he provides legal counsel in the areas of taxation, business law, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning. Throughout his career, he assists clients with tax-efficient business formations, acquisitions and dispositions, entity selection, and the negotiation and drafting of transaction documents. He also counsels business owners on succession planning and wealth transfer strategies designed to preserve family and business assets across generations.
Mr. Ventresca brings extensive experience in estate, trust, and gift tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families. He designs and implements comprehensive estate plans intended to minimize federal estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes while helping clients achieve their long-term personal, family, and philanthropic objectives. In addition, he prepares and reviews complex individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns and has frequently spoke on taxation, trusts and estates, and estate planning topics.
Mr. Ventresca earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.S. in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
