Sarah Yerger Presents on Best Practices for Sexual Harassment Policies for Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association Members on April 10
On April 10, 2018, Employment & Employee Relations Principal Sarah C. Yerger presented, "Time's Up for Sexual Harassment in Hospitality: Creating a Culture of Respect & Inclusion," to members of the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PR&LA) in Reading, PA.
In light of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, businesses are under increasing pressure to address and root out behaviors that are harmful to employees. Hospitality employers and managers need to recognize the different forms of sexual harassment, understand the legal requirements of maintaining a workplace free of sexual harassment, and know the proper steps in addressing a complaint. Ms. Yerger's presentation outlined legal definitions and best practices for sexual harassment policies, and how employers can create a workplace environment of respect and inclusion.
