Principal Sarah C. Yerger Selected for Central Penn Business Journal's Women of Influence Award

One of 30 women professionals chosen in the Central Pennsylvania region for their experience, integrity, leadership, and accomplishments

Sarah YergerHarrisburg, PA – April 12, 2017 – Post & Schell, P.C. is pleased to announce that Principal Sarah C. Yerger, has been named a recipient of the Central Penn Business Journal’s 2017 Women of Influence awards. She was selected for a combination of her professional accomplishments, community involvement, and leadership in mentoring other women professionals.

“Sarah is one of those special attorneys that not only advocates for her clients, but her colleagues, peers, and community, as well,” said A. James Johnston, President & Chief Executive Officer of Post & Schell, P.C. “Throughout her career in state government and private practice she has helped mentor other attorneys, given back to her community, and has stood out as a leader in the legal profession. Ms. Yerger will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Monday, June 26 at the Hilton Harrisburg, as well as in the June 30 issue of the Central Penn Business Journal.

Based in the Firm’s Harrisburg, PA office, Ms. Yerger is a member of Post & Schell’s Employment & Employee Relations, Professional Licensure, and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. She regularly litigates and is the lead trial lawyer in commercial disputes, constitutional law claims, professional licensure issues, regulatory matters, and employment defense litigation. Ms. Yerger’s practice includes the full gamut of commercial litigation representation; advice, counsel, and representation to employers in all aspects of employment law under every major employment statute; and representation of a wide-range of professionals in Pennsylvania licensure issues.

Prior to joining Post & Schell, Ms. Yerger served for almost 15 years in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, most recently as Senior Deputy Attorney General.  In 2014, Ms. Yerger was honored by PBA's Commission on Women in the Profession with the Lynette Norton Award and was also selected as one of The Legal Intelligencer's "Women of the Year.”  In 2016, Widener University Commonwealth Law School honored her with the inaugural “Excellence in Public Service Award,” recognizing her commitment to public service and highlighting the impact of Widener Law Commonwealth alumni on the public sector.
