Jonathan Ascher is a Principal and Chair of the Firm's Workers' Compensation Department  and Administrative Principal of the Firm's Pittsburgh, PA office. His practice is focused in the areas of workers' compensation and occupational disease litigation. This includes the successful representation of numerous employers, including commercial retailers, moving companies, trucking companies, school districts, local municipalities, health-care providers, construction companies, and both small and large corporate entities. Mr. Ascher practices before Workers' Compensation Judges throughout western Pennsylvania, the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board, and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Mr. Ascher also manages Post & Schell's Pittsburgh office.

Mr. Ascher frequently lectures on workers' compensation topics to insurance companies, third-party administrators, and employers. He counsels employers on risk management issues that assists them in handling and defending their workers' compensation cases.

He was acknowledged by Law & Politics and the Philadelphia Magazine as a Rising Star Super Lawyer in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. From 2010-2017, Mr. Ascher was named by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer as published by American Lawyer Media and Philadelphia Magazine.
